I’ve written about Pangea Organics here before. I want to talk about their facial cleanser today, because lately I’ve been OBSESSED with it.
I’ve always held the perfect facial cleanser as the Holy Grail of my beauty regimen. There are so many of them out there, and I think I’ve tried them all, organic and otherwise. My requirements for perfection are tough, and usually a product falls short in some way. The standards are as follows:
•Must leave my skin feeling clean and refreshed
•Must not dry my skin out or leave it feeling tight
•Must smell excellent, not too sweet or too scented
•Must clean off all makeup, even mascara
•Must come in a nice, pretty package
It wasn’t until recently that this list included “must adhere to environmentally sound standards”. See, I didn’t believe that organic facial products were any good. I had tried a lot of them, and they all fell short of my requirements in oh so many ways.
But then came Pangea’s facial cleanser. With calendula and blood orange, the scent is perfection: A little flowery, but not too sweet or girly, and light. When I wash my face, all my makeup comes off, and my face feels both clean and hydrated. And of course, like all other products from Pangea, it comes in cool packaging.
All of Pangea’s facial products are packaged in pharmaceutical glass, so they can be recycled essentially forever. The thick brown glass feels nice in my hand, and the rich brown color complements the modern design. And when you take into account that the product comes from a 100% wind-powered facility in Boulder, Colorado, that also has an organic chef come every day for lunch, and that if you work Pangea and ride your bike to work a couple of days in a row the company will pay for your lunch… Wait, can I work there? Please? I’m really good at filing.
The best part about this product is the price. Some of you may say that a price point of about $17 is hefty, but you must know how far it will go. I’ve had my bottle for a few weeks now, and there is still so much cleanser left. One little pump is plenty to wash your face with. I take mine to the gym, where I use it in the shower, and the twist-cap keeps it from spilling in my bag. I use it at home, where my husband always likes to “try it out” before bed, nevermind the fact that he’s used it every night for two weeks straight. I don’t need a separate makeup remover, and the formula is so rich that some nights I don’t even use a separate lotion.
If you’re looking for facial care products that are as good for your skin as they are for the earth, Pangea is where it’s at. Maybe my rant hasn’t convinced you, but perhaps the cleanser’s ingredient list will. Pangea has once again proven that organic body care can be just as exciting and beautiful as any other products, but with a conscience.

Is there any way I can have a sample of your facial cleanser. I have tried many other products and nothing seems to do the job. So I am a bit skeptical. Please let me know by e-mail.
Thanks much
