You know, I sure use a lot of baby powder for someone with no baby. I have a long history of baby powder use. It all started when I was, you know, a baby. As I got older I took up competitive swimming, and there’s nothing better to keep a swimming cap from pulling your hair than dusting the inside with baby powder.
As I became more environmentally aware, I realized that I should probably find a more suitable alternative for the standard talcum-based varieties. So, I’ve been using Burt’s Bees Dusting Powder for a while, and I like it. It smells nice and baby-powdery, but lighter. I’ve been using this to dust the inside of my swimming cap, and it works well for that, too. The ingredients are great, except for one little thing: “fragrance”. I do like the scent, but that word, “fragrance”, could mean so many things.
So, I should probably be using Avalon Organics Baby Powder. I can’t vouch for the scent, since I haven’t personally tried it yet, but there’s no questionable “fragrance” ingredient. Actually, it has a great ingredient list, so once my current bottle of powder is gone, I’ll try this one and let you know how it goes. Happy powdering!
