As you probably noticed, I’m a fan of Pixie Mate. I love their bagged teas in particular, and I’m waiting eagerly for their loose matés to be available. So this morning, I decided to give their concentrates a try.
More precisely, I tried their Maté Chai Latté Concentrate. I heated equal parts concentrate and milk, like it says in the directions, and Ted and I drank it with our breakfast. We tasted it, and… it was decent. Personally, I like the way I make a Chai Maté Latté myself, adding honey, cinnamon, and milk to Pixie’s brewed Maté Chai Tea.
But when you’re feeling like your time’s at a premium, or you’re supremely lazy, the pre-mixed concentrates from Pixie are a good idea. They’re a solid, reliable choice for a caffeine fix, so I’ll keep my shelves stocked with them. I like the Original Maté Latté the best, that’s the product I got my whole family hooked on at this year’s ExpoWest. So, if you’re interested in getting into Pixie’s stuff AND saving time, the Original Maté Latté Concentrate is the thing for you.

I bought the regular maté latté concentrate before I read your articles and was a little less than impressed with it as well. I found it was better when I filled it more than half with milk, but I still definitely prefered the taste of my Oregon Chai Latté concentrate.
I thought maybe maté just wasn’t my thing, but after reading all that you have to say about their regular teas, I think I need to give Pixie another try. Thanks!
