Tuesday’s Tip: Clean Aprons

I do a lot of cooking, which means I do a lot of dishes. Unfortunately, I’m incredibly messy while doing both activities. Due to this propensity for chaos, I’ve become heavily reliant on my aprons to keep my clothes clean while I’m in the kitchen. I keep two aprons on a hook in the corner of the kitchen, rotating between using and laundering them, so there’s always a clean one available.

Keep at least two aprons in rotation, and you’ll always have clean clothes, no matter how much your cooking style resembles what my grandpa used to call “a fart in a whirlwind.” Make sure you buy aprons that look nice and fit well, because if you also share my other tendency (to procrastinate), you’re sure to find yourself in the kitchen when you’re entertaining guests. What a great time to appreciate the fact that your apron was clean and ready to go.
