A few years ago, back when Organic Style (the now-defunct magazine) was still around, I read an article about model Carolyn Murphy and how she lived off the grid with her (now ex-) husband and her kids. The article was like, blah blah, I’m a model, blah blah, I’m all environmentally friendly and stuff, blah blah, oh yeah, I’m human because I leave the water running when I wash the dishes. Actually, I think the interviewer asked Murphy what her one “eco-weakness” was, or something, and that’s what she answered. I didn’t get it; she was already living on solar power and composting, why not just turn the tap off while washing the dishes?
Seriously, people, just turn the water off. Rinse the dish, turn off the tap, wash, and then rinse. Repeat as necessary. It doesn’t take America’s Most Smartest Model to tell you how simple that is to conserve water while you wash a dish or two.

Models: “Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful; hate me because I’m shallow and stupid.”
