This morning I noticed I had a few blemishes, so I decided to put some tea tree oil directly on them. Then I decided it would be a good idea to use a cotton pad to rub it all over my face, undiluted. BAD IDEA. Even after washing my face several times, it’s still burning with pain. I know that most essential oils should be added to a carrier oil, but for some reason I thought that tea tree was an exception… it’s not. If you’re going to use an essential oil, read the directions on the package first. Your skin will appreciate it.

Ouch…. hope you’re face is better by now. I once gave myself a nasty burn… literally burnt my skin skin…with bergamot essential oil in my bath.

I’m sorry you were in pain, but this made me and Johnny laugh. And, I really think tea tree oil is the best and fastest zit-killer.
